In 2025, our Cranbrook branch celebrates its 75th anniversary
Since its founding in 1950, this branch has grown from a small local credit union serving a handful of members into a cornerstone of the Cranbrook community—helping generations of families, businesses, and neighbours achieve their goals.
But it’s never been just about dollars and cents.
For 75 years, Cranbrook’s StellerVista team has focused on people-first banking. They’ve taken the time to learn each member’s story, offering personalized solutions that big banks often overlook. They’ve helped new families buy their first homes, local businesses get off the ground, and retirees plan for the future—all while reinvesting profits locally.
Our Cranbrook branch has also been a steady partner in the life of the city itself
Over the decades, our team has supported countless local events, sports teams, non-profits, and community initiatives. From sponsoring youth programs to volunteering at fundraisers, our staff have always believed that community-building happens hand in hand with banking.

In-Branch Celebration on Credit Union Day
We kicked off our 75th anniversary with an in-person celebration at the Cranbrook branch on International Credit Union Day.
It was a fantastic opportunity for members, staff, and neighbours to come together, share stories, and celebrate this milestone in the place we all call home.
$7,500 Donation to East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH)
In honour of 75 years in Cranbrook, we were proud to donate $7,500 to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) on November 1st.
This gift supports vital health services and programs that directly benefit people across our region.
$7,500 in Grassroots Community Gifts
Our Cranbrook staff teams are also leading another $7,500 in donations to local grassroots organizations. Each department is selecting a cause that matters to them and reflects the needs of our community.

Cranbrook 75th Anniversary Coloring Contest
A big thank you to all the members and staff whole helped decorate the branch by submitting their own custom StellerVista art work! We managed to raise over $500 for Foundry East Kootenay in doing so!
