Help Shape Our CSR North Star
We have been sharpening our focus on community giving, sponsorship, and engagement — the work we think of as our corporate social responsibility (CSR). For us, CSR is not a department or a line item. It is a commitment to showing up as a community partner and a neighbour, and to making the biggest, most meaningful difference we can in the places we serve.
To do that well, we are giving this work a clearer sense of direction. We are calling it our CSR North Star: a guidepost for how we show up, what we support, and where we can do the most good.
We know that focusing in might raise a fair question. StellerVista has always tried to support a little bit of everything, and that generosity is something we are proud of. We are not stepping away from that. But when support is spread thin across everything, it can be hard for any one effort to make a real, lasting mark. By concentrating more of our energy behind the causes and needs that matter most to our members, we can move the needle in ways that broader giving simply cannot.
That is why your voice matters here. For close to two years now, we have been gathering member feedback to understand what matters most across our communities, and that input is helping shape the causes, programs, events, and local needs we focus on going forward.
Now, we are inviting members to weigh in again. What community priorities matter most to you? Where do you think your credit union can make the biggest difference? What kinds of local initiatives should guide our giving in the years ahead?
As a member-owned financial institution, our community work should reflect the voices of the people and places we serve. Tell us where to point our North Star.

East Kootenay Collective Agreement Renewed
We are pleased to share that our East Kootenay Region collective agreement has been successfully renewed.
This is very positive news for our employees, our members, and our credit union as a whole. The agreement was reached before the previous agreement expired, reflecting a collaborative and constructive process from both sides.
Reaching an agreement in this way speaks to the professionalism, focus, and shared commitment of everyone involved. It also provides stability as we continue working together to deliver accessible, high-quality banking service in the rural communities we serve.
We are confident the renewed agreement reflects a fair and sustainable outcome and supports our long-term strength as an independent credit union. Just as importantly, it gives us a strong foundation to move forward with clarity, renewed energy, and a continued focus on serving our members well.
And the quick work both sides did really shows how the shared vision of StellerVista continues to grow and permeate the entire organization.
